Learn how to create and assign discounts in AcornCloud — perfect for managing sibling, staff, or promotional discounts directly from the Finance tab.
Open the Discounts ScreenFrom the left-hand menu, go to Finance → Discounts.
Tap New Discount to create one.
Create a New DiscountEnter a clear, descriptive Discount Name (e.g. Sibling Discount, Staff Discount).
Select the Discount Type — either a percentage (%) or a fixed amount (€).
Enter the Rate of the discount.
Tap Add Discount to save it.
Find the Child to Assign It ToOn the left, you’ll see all discount types.
On the right, you’ll see all children in your service.
Use the search bar or filter by room to find the child or children you want to apply the discount to.
Assign the DiscountTap Assign New beside the child’s name.
Select the Discount you want to apply from the dropdown.
Add Discount DetailsEnter the Start Date and End Date for the discount.
Choose which Booking Fee the discount applies to.
Set the Frequency — Weekly or Monthly.
Tap Add Discount to save.
Best Practice TipsUse clear naming (e.g. Sibling Discount – 10%) so discounts are easy to recognise on invoices.
Always assign discounts to the correct booking fee to avoid billing errors.
Set end dates for time-limited offers to prevent discounts applying indefinitely.
Review active discounts regularly from the Finance → Discounts screen.
