Once your Stripe account has been approved and connected, you can invite families to activate AcornPay. This allows parents to securely add their payment method and pay invoices directly from the Parent App.
Confirm Your Stripe ConnectionFirst, check that your Stripe account is active.
Go to acorncloud.app/acornpay in your dashboard
When Stripe is successfully connected, you will see “Connected” at the top right of the screen
Invite Families to AcornPayFind the family you want to invite
Click Enable AcornPay below the family name
Set the Weekly Billing LimitEnter the maximum weekly billing amount for the child.
This prevents parents from being charged more than expected and helps avoid refunds or billing disputes.
Send the InvitationClick Send Invitation Email
The parent will receive an email prompting them to set up AcornPay.
What Parents Will SeeFamilies will now see a “Setup AcornPay” button in the Parent Portal app.
Once they add their card details, the system will update to show:

Once their payment method is saved, parents can pay invoices directly by tapping:
AcornPay Is Now ActiveYou’ve successfully launched AcornPay for this family.
Parents can now securely pay invoices directly through the Parent App.
