Need to update a parent’s contact details, address, or role? This guide shows managers how to find a parent profile, edit their information, and save changes directly from the Children Directory in AcornCloud.
Open the Children DirectoryFrom the left-hand menu, go to Directory → Children.
Here you’ll see a full list of all children in your service.
Parents linked to each child appear in the right-hand column of the list.
Select a ParentTap the name of the parent whose details you want to update.
A drawer will open on the right-hand side, showing their current information.
Edit the Parent’s DetailsClick the edit (pen) icon at the top-right of the parent’s info drawer.
A pop-up will appear with editable fields for:
Phone number
Place of work
Home address
Parent role (e.g., Mother, Father, Guardian)
Save Your ChangesOnce you’ve made your updates, tap Update Parent at the bottom of the pop-up.
The parent’s new information will now be saved automatically.
Best PracticeAlways confirm changes with the parent before updating their details.
Double-check spelling and email addresses to avoid login or communication issues.
If both parents’ details need updating, repeat the process for each profile.
